4.0 Magnitude Earthquake Hits Delhi-NCR, Noida Strong Tremors Felt Across North India

Delhi-NCR, and some Noida had experienced strong tremors today early this morning at 5.36am.

A strong earthquake tremors was witnessed by many people staying in Delhi-NCR, Indore and some part of Ghaziabad. People rushed outside their residence  when they experienced an earthquake.

The National Centre for Seismology also confirmed that a tremor happened this morning across Delhi and the quake’s depth was just 5km.

According to an official from the news agency PTI, the earthquake’s epicenter was located near Durgabai Deshmukh College of Special Education in Dhaula Kuan.

The area, which lies close to a lake, has a history of experiencing low-magnitude tremors every two to three years. In 2015, the region recorded a 3.3-magnitude earthquake, highlighting its seismic activity, the official added. Officials also said that a loud noise was heard during this incident.
